Broom Finish
Broom finish for real traction
A textured surface swept into fresh concrete while it’s still workable, giving driveways and walkways grip through rain, frost, and snow. It’s the finish we recommend for anything that sees regular foot or vehicle traffic through an Okanagan winter.
Smooth Finish
Smooth finish for a clean, modern surface
Steel-troweled to a tight, even surface for patios, walkways, and interior slabs where the look matters as much as the durability. Less texture means easier sweeping and pressure washing down the line.
Exposed Concrete
Exposed aggregate for texture that lasts
We wash back the top layer of the pour to expose the stone underneath, giving driveways and patios a textured finish that hides minor wear better than a plain slab. A practical choice for high-traffic surfaces around Peachland and Kelowna that take direct sun and heavy freeze-thaw cycling.
Stamped / Decorative Concrete
Stamped concrete, without the stone budget
Patterned and coloured while the concrete is still curing, stamped concrete gets you the look of natural stone, brick, or slate at a fraction of the material and labour cost. Common for patios, pool decks, and front entries where curb appeal is the point.

We prepare the area for the new concrete, including excavation and base preparation as required for the project.
02 — Form
Forms are set to establish the shape, dimensions, elevations, and edges of the finished concrete.
03 — Pour
Concrete is placed and worked carefully to create a consistent surface and properly fill the formed area.
04 — Finish
The surface is completed using the selected finish, whether that’s broom, smooth, exposed aggregate, or decorative concrete.
05 — Cure
The concrete is given the time it needs to properly cure before being put into regular use.

It depends on the extent and cause of the damage. Cracks, damaged edges, spalling, and localized deterioration can often be repaired, while severely damaged or unstable sections may be better candidates for replacement. We can assess the existing concrete and recommend an appropriate approach.
Broom finish is a popular choice for concrete driveways because its textured surface provides good traction while maintaining a clean, consistent appearance. Exposed aggregate can also work well when a more decorative look is preferred. The right choice depends on the property, intended use, and appearance you want.
Broom-finished concrete has a fine texture created across the surface while the concrete is being finished. Exposed aggregate reveals some of the stone within the concrete, creating a more decorative and naturally textured appearance. Both can be used for exterior concrete projects.
We can work to make new or repaired concrete complement the surrounding surface, but an exact match isn’t always possible. Existing concrete changes colour and appearance as it ages, and differences in the original mix, aggregate, finish, and weathering can remain visible.
Concrete begins hardening relatively quickly, but it continues gaining strength over time. When you can safely use the surface depends on the project, weather conditions, concrete mix, and intended use. We’ll provide instructions for your specific project before the new concrete is put into regular use.
Concrete can be poured through much of the construction season, but temperature and weather conditions matter. Very hot, cold, or wet conditions can affect how a pour needs to be planned and managed. We schedule concrete work around suitable conditions for the particular project.
